Anna + Zach in Dillwyn, VA
My very lovely friends of many years tied the knot with all their family and friends down on Anna’s family’s farm in beautiful Virginia! This was all the way back in June 2023. I’ve gathered some highlights from the festivities here.
They had a rehearsal dinner that was going on when I arrived from Bloomington. Evening fog, string lights, and everyone starting to arrive for the wedding the next day.
The next morning Zach and friends picked wild flowers from around the property to decorate the tables and the deck that Anna’s parents had built for the ceremony and dancing. Guests camped out in one of the nearby fields and the woods.
Zach and Anna got ready and we went out to snap some portraits before the ceremony.
As always, these three medium format film photos are probably my favorite from that moment. But it’s hard to choose with how sweet Anna and Zach looked all day.

After the ceremony neighbors, Bear Bottom Farm, brought over their horses, people started drinking, playing games, and dancing.
Anna, Zach, and I stepped away to make a few golden hour portraits.
