Monroe County Fair, 2022
Some personal snapshots from one of my favorite times of the year! I love the county fair! I love the way it smells, seeing all the 4-H animals, the rides all lit up at dusk, and, the food.
This year I got to go two days with my sisters and we ate all of the staples: elephant ear, corndog, fried pickles, ribbon fries, lemon shake-up, and ice cream. The demolition derby was a treat.
I grew up going to the Adams County 4-H fair, and it was not as grand as what we have here in Monroe County!! But I would spend the whole week there, dawn to dusk. I showed rabbits and pigs. My sister Alison showed goats and rabbits. I entered photos into competition for several years starting out using just a little digital point and shoot, but taking it very seriously!
Below are just a few photos from this year that I liked in particular, all on 35mm film.
