Anna + Zach

I got together with Anna and Zach a few weeks ago and we had a very sweet couples session! We made engagement photos in their backyard, here in Bloomington, and in my home studio.

I always love photographing people at home! Engagement sessions (or any kind of portrait session) can feel really easy when you’re in your own space. And I think that really comes through in the photos :,)

We started out in my home studio and got some lovely portraits of Anna and Zach together and also solo! Anna picked out this “evergreen” paper and it was really perfect for the two of them! I love the way that open space in the studio gives everyone the chance to shine in their photos.

After our studio session we went over to their place over on the west side of Bloomington and made some portraits outside in their backyard with their chickens, cats, and all around their really beautiful little property.

At home is one of my favorite spots to photography anyone. I think we are most able to let our guard down and relax when we’re comfortable, and it really shines through in photos.
